Eye Problems

See your Optician

Adults should see an optician every 2 years for an eye check and follow their advice re future appointments. Checkups are free. If you develop a sudden new eye problem such as pain, redness, swelling, visual disturbance, opticians can see you as an emergency and deal with the problem. They have the equipment to examine your eye in detail. Opticians can also refer you to a hospital if needed.
