New Patient Registration

We accept patients from Lochwinnoch, Beith or surrounding area within a 4 mile radius of the main site in Lochwinnoch.  If you are unsure about the mileage, please contact the practice manager for further information.

During Covid pandemic we are unable to register patients who are currently registered at another GP practice locally.

In order to register with the practice you should bring your NHS medical card.  If you do not have a medical card, the receptionists will ask you to fill in a form and will offer you a registration medical appointment with the practice nurses or one of the doctors. 

If you prefer a particular doctor we will note this and do our best to respect your choice.  However, not all the doctors in the practice provide all services and specific doctors may not be immediately available.

You may print off our registration form and questionnaire. Completed forms should be returned to the practice along with some form of ID.

Temporary Registration

If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.   To allow for good ongoing continuity of care and chronic disease monitoring it is advisable to maintain permanent registration.

To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
